About this site

This is an independent English-language guide to the Barcelona Card Family, the official Barcelona Turisme city card for families with children. It is not the shop. We don't sell the card and we can't help with an order — every purchase link here goes straight to Barcelona Turisme, who do.

Who writes it

Written and maintained by Mike Acler. The site is published by Barcelona Cards, which also runs Articket Barcelona, a guide to the city's museum pass.

How the prices here are checked

Every price on this site is copied from the venue that charges it — the card price from the official Barcelona Turisme shop, the individual attraction prices from each attraction's own website — and each page says when it was last checked.

Barcelona attraction prices move roughly annually, and most of the guides you'll find online are quietly two or three years out of date. When we can't confirm a figure we mark it with a ~ rather than guess, so you know which numbers to re-check before relying on them.

If you spot something that's gone stale, we'd genuinely like to know.

What you can expect from it

The attractions page sets out the arithmetic in full, including the cases where the card costs you more than paying as you go. A guide that only ever says "buy it" isn't worth reading.
